This is confirmed, I have an herniated disk. Since early June I have felt a pain in the lower back. One morning in Barcelona I just woke up with a pain, just like that. This pain has been growing steadily throughout June and I managed to honour my assignments. But since July the pain has intensified drastically and has brought a lot more than I was expecting. I went to see 4 different institutions and they all diagnosed me with a sciatica. I know my body quite well and I knew it was more serious. After constant visit and demand to take me seriousy a nurse at UCL eventually agreed to refer me to the MRI department. It is now clear that I am facing a more serious situation. I have been walking with crutches since mid-July to aleviate the pain and I know now what is at stake. Obviously, all the vacations we had planned went out of the window and we are now taking it easy in North London until further notice.
